Some things in life are immeasurable, to know how many lives have been saved by Mari’s gentle, loving, effective and nurturing approach to teaching little ones how to swim is certainly one of them. I have four children, all have been early swimmers with safety and rescue embedded into their swimming skills – all taught by aquastars. My daughter once mobile only wanted to find her way into the pool, so I enlisted Mari’s help even earlier. She swam before she was one, Mari embraced her fearless attraction to water and taught her how to swim and how survive. Mari did this quickly and gently. Sure enough my 4th child shared his sister’s water passion. At about 18 months old, he fell in and hit his head, bleeding from his head, his aquastar’s survival skills quickly kicked in and he swam to the stairs. When searching for a swim instructor for our 11 month old my husband and I had a certain criteria. We were looking for someone that was firm, loving and had a way with kids. After watching Miss Mari with our son we knew she had the perfect combination of everything we were looking for in a swim teacher. After just a few weeks you could see Breck’s confidence level rise! After a month he was swimming and finding the wall on his own. It was remarkable to watch how much he learned in just one summer. He really responded well to Miss Mari’s kind and gentle approach. Such a gift!! Without a doubt, there is no one else like Ms. Mari! Not only did she teach the basics and beyond to my older daughter, she also instilled in her such a love of the water. So when it came time to figure out how to teach my younger daughter, who is visually-impaired and medically-involved, Ms. Mari was, in a word, AMAZING! As a special needs mom, I have learned that what might be good for my typically-developing child may not work out so well for my differently-abled little girl. Living in Florida we knew it was very important for our son to learn to swim since everywhere you turn there is either a pool and/or water hazard. We spoke to a few swimming instructors who we knew our son would not take to and scared us by the way they taught the babies to swim. When we finally spoke to Ms. Mari, we knew she was the right fit for our son. He was 20 months old when we started lessons. We absolutely love her and cannot say enough good things about her. The way that she works with and teaches children/people of all ages is amazing. She was so amazing with our son and was so patient with him. He truly became a fish in the water. Having Ms. Mari as his first teacher did wonders for his development as a child.

We were amazed to see how he learned to get himself out the pool from anywhere in the pool and float on his back. One of the proudest moments we have is that he learned to fall off a float, push it away and then float on his back until he was ready to swim to the edge of the pool and get out. He also learned to swim the length of the pool, dive down and retrieve various toys from the bottom of the pool in the deep end and not be afraid if he fell into the pool. He has become so comfortable and confident not only in the water but out of the water as well. Thank you so much for all of the wonderful work you do with our son and with every other child that is blessed to be taught by you.

Miss Mari is an amazing swim instructor. She has helped my 2 year old develop both the skills and confidence needed to be safe in the water.
